The mission of Teen Kitchen Project (TKP) is to build healthy communities through food. TKP brings volunteer teens into the kitchen to prepare nutritious, medically tailored meals that are delivered to individuals and families who are in crisis due to a life-threatening illness.

TKP is the only organization in Santa Cruz County offering free or low-cost meal delivery to patients, regardless of patients’ age or income level. TKP is unique because our meals are prepared by teen volunteers. In the process of preparing nutritious, medically tailored meals, our volunteer teen chefs gain valuable work experience, which is transferable to employment in the foodservice industry. In addition, teens benefit from the opportunity to give back to their community.
